Mission Statement
The AUB-UNESCO Club believes in building human relations in terms of social, cultural, and educational activities rather than political ones. We work upon initiating a better understanding and a wider respect of the other both culturally and educationally. Because we believe that dialogue is essential in creating common ground, lectures and debates are primary to our activities. On the other hand, social interaction is best fulfilled by practical action which is characterized by field visits. Members of the UNESCO club will be socially aware individuals, will gain skills in conflict resolution, and most importantly will be open to the outside world through the different conferences/workshops we get to attend.
