Objective:
Discussion panel: to discuss the origins of Lebanese identity based on scientific, educational, and cultural facts. The discussion is to avoid politics and is mainly based on the heritage.
Workshop: To train the UNESCO members on conflict resolution in order to improve their skills. In this event, non-AUB UNESCO members were invited in order to increase cross Lebanese UNESCO collaboration.

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Drinks and refreshments
Fifty AUB students, professors, and alumni attended the events. Their names were not taken. This event was not restricted to UNESCO members but was restricted to AUB students

10:25am – 10:30am: Introducing Nizar Ghanem
10:30am – 10:45am: Ice breaker and stress relieving exercise
10:45am – 11:15am: Interactive discussion on defining conflict and resolution
11:15am – 11:30am: Division into groups to discuss causes of conflict and reasons for their escalation
11:30am – 12:00pm: Group reaches conclusive answers to the above questions
12:00pm – 12:30pm: Brunch Break
12:30pm – 1:30pm: Role play on resolving a conflict of building a church in the center of a Muslim village
1:30pm – 2:00pm: discussion of role play and analysis of mistakes
2:00pm – 2:30pm: Defining and explaining different approaches to conflict resolution
